In P5 this half term we have been learning about Water, we have studied the Water Cycle and created pictures inspired by Monet. This week to finish off our topic of Water we have been treated to a visit by the Canal and River Trust. We really enjoyed learning about the fantastic work that they do. We were invited to locate a variety of things on the giant map such as bridges and boats, we also used our observational skills to spot potential hazards. The presenter taught us about different flotation devices such as buoyancy jacket and lifebuoy ring and how to use them in case of an emergency. We especially enjoyed having the opportunity to try on some of the flotation devices!
