Welcome to East Lancashire Inclusion Partnership (ELIP), Tor View’s Centre of Educational Excellence. We have a strong local, regional and national reputation for training high quality teachers for both mainstream primary and special education.
ELIP’s remit is to deliver on three core purposes:
- Initial Teacher Education (ITE) – Training outstanding teachers through the School Direct programme in partnership with PLSCITT and the University of Cumbria.
- School-to-School Support – Supporting schools to improve outcomes for pupils with our dedicated team of Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) – serving Senior Leaders with specific expertise to drive school improvement.
- Research, Development & Continuous Professional Development (CPD) – identifying the most up to date practices and sharing these with our community of practitioners.
ELIP is well thought of locally as a provider of excellent outreach – offering schools an opportunity to look at specific difficulties learners may be experiencing and suggesting a range of strategies to support them in school.
In order to deliver fully on these, ELIP is partnered with other local, regional and national organisations such as; Embrace Teaching School Hub, PLSCITT, The Sea View Trust, University of Cumbria, Blackpool Research School, The Teaching School Hubs Council and nasen Whole School SEND. More information can be found on their websites.
We hope you find the information you need, whether that’s for routes to Teacher Training, School-to-School support or Professional Development. Should you want any more information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at teachingschool@theviewtrust.org.
