Monday 25th May was the beginning of Walk to School Week which is a national initiative to encourage children and their families to get outside and enjoy movement in the outdoors. In our assembly on Monday, we learnt about the importance of walking and how it helps us stay healthy and happy. In the assembly, Miss. Marshall set a challenge to all of the primary classes to increase their steps over the next week and go for a walk round our lovely track area in school at least once a day! All the classes enjoyed their walks, and Oak class had a lovely time walking together, looking at the beautiful flowers in nature and having a fun time together as a class. We hope to continue this over the Summer term to enjoy the beautiful school rounds in the nice weather and keep our bodies healthy by walking and enjoying the great outdoors!
