The KS3 football team had their 3rd and final visit of the year to Poolfoot farm Fleetwood this week for the Lancashire School Games U14 Ability Counts Football League. All four pitches at Poolfoot farm are named after famous football grounds around Europe, Highbury Stadium, Parc des Princes, Johan Cruyff Arena and Allianz Arena. They started the day fantastically well winning 9-1 then unfortunately lost their second game against very good opposition. The team rallied brilliantly and won the final game of the morning 9-5 with one player scoring 7 goals! We then stopped for lunch, after lunch we started slowly losing 8-4 but played really well and were very unlucky to lose. We finished the day and the league with an amazing 10-4 victory. In total the team scored 33 goals across 5 games! With these results added to the two previous visits the team managed to finish 2nd overall and came away with a silver medal. They should all be exceptionally proud of themselves as we all are at school.
Well done everyone!
