School show blog

This half term across the secondary department we have worked hard on putting on the show ‘A Fairly Potter Christmas Carol’. A modern mix set to Charles Dickens Christmas Carol featuring all the beloved Harry Potter characters.

The auditions took place before half term so the actors and characters were in place and the hard work began. Days and days of rehearsals followed with lots of ups and downs but the pupils worked very hard to get it all right.

The pupils who chose not to take part in show had just as important jobs of creating the set and all the props. These all looked fantastic and were created from scratch with the help of the staff across the department.

Show week came and the pupils for the first time ever performed the show on 4 different occasions. They performed  to the FE and primary department during the day and then two sold out evening productions, where even the Mayoress attended and commented on how fantastic it was. Madam Mayoress was very complementary regarding all the hard work from the pupils and staff in the secondary department.

So much work has gone into the  and it was the first live performance for three years and all the staff and pupils deserve huge credit.

Well done everyone involved.
