On Thursday 6th March, primary and secondary departments celebrated World Book Day!

Teachers prepared activities related to 'books about people' and visited different classes to deliver their sessions. There were activities about Mr Men and Little Miss, Harry Potter, The Wizard of Oz, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, books based on famous people including David Bowie, superheroes and books by the author David Walliams. As you can see everyone got involved, including teachers and teaching assistants, pupils, the admin team, bus escorts and even Ruby the therapy dog!

Primary parents were invited to a 'Starbooks' event, a chance for them to have a drink and enjoy some reading activities with their child. We had a visit from staff at Haslingden Library who spoke to parents about the services they offer including different events for children. Thank you to the parents who attended, we hope you enjoyed the sessions.

At Haslingden High School, 3/4I formed the judging panel for cakes made by year 7 pupils as part as their World Book Day celebrations, they then made their own cake interpretation of animal farm.

Thank you to everyone involved for a fabulous day!
