This week learners from key stage 3, in 3/4I attended their second workshop for Lancashire Book of the Year at Accrington library.
In attendance were three other local schools who have all been reading and nominating their favourite books from an extensive list of new titles.
Pupils were given the short-listed titles of 12 books which now have to be read and reviewed by learners over the next few months. They were very glad to know that one of their books had made the short list. They can't wait to attend the celebration day in July, when the winning book will be revealed with many of the authors in attendance themselves!
