Creative
This term, we will be learning all about the place where we live. For these tasks – please be mindful about social distancing if you are to go outside. If you are unable to go outside, see if you can explore your local area on Google Street View and Google Earth.
If you are unable to access a printer (or if you want an additional challenge!), you could use the resources that I’ve made available as prompts to make an information poster/booklet about your local area.
Good luck!

Vincent van Gogh
To complement the topic on our local area this term, we are looking at the art of Vincent Van Gogh – particularly his work on flowers. Please download the wonderful array of Van Gogh colouring found below, can you research the colours and techniques he has used in the originals to try and recreate his pieces? Additionally, please see the Sunflowers Appreciation Activity – work with an adult to answer the questions about his work and try to create your own version using memory at the end!

Science
In Science this term, we will be learning about life cycles of animals. This week, I would like you to learn about the growth of animals from being born. To start this off, have a go at the ‘Animals and Their Young’ matching card activity – use your iPad/computer to find images of these animals as you are doing it!
The next task that I would like you to complete is the ‘How Animals Grow’ worksheet. For this, I would like you to select an animal (it could be your favourite) and draw it as a baby and an adult – feel free to use any technology to help you in doing this. Once you have done that, I want you to write a description as to how it changes as it grows – think about how it changes when you look at it. To help with your writing, please also download the ‘Animal Growth’ word mat. Good luck!
If you have scissors and glue available to you, please also have a go at the ‘Egg or Not’ activity sheet. On this piece of work, have a think about which animals you believe are born from an egg or not. To improve your research skills, use a tablet/laptop/phone to find out some answers you may not know.
Finally, if you have completed your other tasks – have a look at this fun ‘Animal Growth’ word search and take some time out for mindfulness to complete the ‘Animal Life Cycle’ colouring sheets!

Music
In music this term, we will be celebrating music that has originated from our local area. This week, I would like you to watch the video for George Formby – When I’m Cleaning Windows.
When you have watched it, can you think about and answer the following questions?
When do you think the song was written and performed?
How does the song make you feel?
What is the tempo of the song?
What do you think the song is about?
In KS2 French we are learning how to say the alphabet in French. There are lots of videos on YouTube with videos on to listen to.
After watching a video, try writing down the alphabet and trying to say some of the letters in French.
Keep listening and practicing
Enjoy

Remember to start simple and gradually build up to those more challenging. If you need any ideas, here are some to get you started!
4 × 2 =
3 × 5 =
