As you may or may not be aware, Tor View has a Teaching School, known as ELIP (East Lancashire Inclusion Partnership), which is responsible for the Teacher Training of a cohort of students each academic year. Each student goes on three placements, at other schools, throughout the year, attends lectures and completes academic writing in order to achieve Qualified Teacher Status and a PGCE after their year with us.

The Department for Education (DfE) have launched a new Teaching School Hub infrastructure of 87 centers of excellence for teacher training and professional development, replacing the previous network of around 750 Teaching Schools. We are proud to announce that, after submitting a bid to the DfE, Tor View has been successful in achieving Teaching School Hub status. This means that Tor View is responsible for coordinating and support all Initial Teacher Training providers in the Chorley, Fylde, South Ribble and West Lancashire areas.
