In P6, we have had a very busy term!
In Maths, we have been learning about fractions. We have worked together to find halves and quarters of different objects, including ourselves!
In Technology, we have been baking throughout the half term and last week we made scones. They made the classroom smell delightful!
Our topic for this term is London in the 1600’s.
We have started to look at the diary entries of Samuel Pepys that were written during The Great Fire of London. In English, we have used his work to create our own diary writing checklist – helping us with our own entries. We are all very excited to share our work with each other, despite one entry containing spoilers for Toy Story 4!
As well as this, we have looked at his writing at the beginning of The Great Fire and re-enacted it using freeze frames.
We were very surprised to find out that when he first saw the fire, he decided to go back to sleep! The whole class has done a fantastic job at recreating these events, as illustrated by our photos. Well done for great work this term P6!
