Merit Trip and Residentials

Pupils earn one merit per lesson for doing good work, being kind and arriving to the lesson on time. If they produce exceptional work they can earn an extra merit and receive a certificate in assembly. Every half term pupils have the opportunity to go on a reward trip if they have received 95% of their merits per half term. So far this year we have been to laser tag, Grip & Go, Golf Rossendale and the Soccerdome and we have had a Zumba specialist in to deliver a dance session. Next half term we will be going rollerskating. Look at our display board in the corridor for pictures of us enjoying these reward trips!

There are a variety of lunch clubs running through secondary every week such as Art Club, Choir and Sensory story clubs. Key Stage 4 pupils also have the privilege of going to coffee club if they have their badges.

In Key Stage 3 the residential has been to Tower Wood Outdoor Education Centre for the past few years and we will be returning in April. The pupils will be taking part in water and land based activities such as canoeing and hill climbing.

In Key Stage 4 the residential is to Edinburgh in June. We will be having a cultural visit and seeing the sights such as the castle and museums along with watching WICKED one evening at the theatre. Pupils and staff are very excited!
