We believe in working closely with parents and carers and that together we are accountable for your child’s education and welfare. We expect parents and carers to support us to achieve the best for their child and encourage them to take a full role in school life. Many of our parents volunteer their support in classes and help with educational visits and other extended school and study support activities. We provide facilities for parents to meet and all parents are welcome to join our Parent / Carer Support Group and/or Autism Support Group which meets regularly to discuss issues and listen to guest speakers.
We have received the Leading Parent Partnership Award which recognises not only the work we do within school to support your children’s education but also how we encourage parents and carers to participate in school life. We are very proud of the extra-curricular opportunities that we as a school provide for your children such as the many residentials and trips that promote and develop children and young people’s independence and social engagement. We continue to appreciate the involvement of our Parents’ / Carers’ contributions and support to the school and will always respect any suggestions on how we can continue to improve and develop our relationship with families.
