Times

After School Club runs each night of the week during term time from 3.15 – 5.00 pm. All participants are provided with a drink and a light snack prior to beginning the activities. Parents and carers can collect their child from 5.00 pm once the activities have finished.

Transport

Transport is available for some pupils who qualify for Pupil Premium. For more information on whether your child qualifies please contact Tor View School.

Costs and Registration

The costs of individual activities are detailed below and are payable in half termly instalments. Reduced rates are available on all activities for children who qualify for Pupil Premium. For more information on whether your child qualifies please contact Tor View School.

To register your child for a place please download and complete the application form and return it to Vicky Sweetmore, Play Development Coordinator, at Tor View School. Please read the After School Club policy to which we adhere throughout all After School Club activities.

Activities

Monday

Option 1: Fun & Games – these sessions give participants the opportunity to try different games both indoor and out. Whether it is an individual or team activity there will be something for everybody (£8) (Reduced rate available)
Option 2: Football – these sessions are run by qualified football coaches from Burnley FC and focus on technical skills and team work (£8) (Reduced rate available)
Option 3: FE Physical Fun – Students from the Further Education department take part in music, dance, sports and any other physical activities the students decide, enabling them all to have fun and burn off some energy (£8)

Tuesday

Option 1: Craft & Recycling – a creative night focussing on creating and making a variety of different items using recycled and craft materials. (£8) (Reduced rate available)

Wednesday

Option 1: Sports – an active night of sports and activities aiming to help improve gross and fine motor skills and learn the basic skills and rules of a variety of sports (£8) (Reduced rate available)
Option 2: Cooking – each term will provide the opportunity to create a variety of sweet and savoury products, including how to use equipment and perform specific cooking techniques (£8) (Reduced rate available)

Thursday

Option 1: Nature and the Environment – Get the chance to grow your own fruit, vegetables and flowers. Getting up close to insects and wildlife in our school grounds and creating habitats to help them. (£8) (Reduced rate available)
Option 2: Ski Club Beginners and Intermediate – these sessions are run by a qualified ski instructor at Rossendale Ski Centre (£8) (Reduced rate available)
Option 3 FE Craft & Enterprise – students from the Further Education department make items to sell in the Garage café and at school fairs to help with raising funds for their department (£8)

Friday

Option 1: Beginners and Intermediate Cycling – a chance to improve everyone’s cycling skills with bikes, trikes, go-karts and specialised bikes available (£8) (Reduced rate available)
Option 2: Advanced Cycling – a chance for those individuals who are competent riders to further enhance their skills and equip them to ride on roads by working through the Passport to Safer Cycling programme (£8) (Reduced rate available)
